You are responsible for hoof care, normal vet care (worming, shots, teeth), and if you choose to have the horse in a paddock or stall you will be responsible for mucking the stall regularly. I will continue to be responsible for feeding the horse twice daily and will pay for the feed (other than special grains/treats you might want to feed - with my permission).

Horse Training

Evaluation $45.00

  • Before taking on any horse for training I will want to evaluate the horse and discuss goals and objectives with the horse owner. This generally takes 1 to 2 hours and includes some handling of the horse and observation of the owner handling the horse.

Training $600/mo ($500 month with 3 month commitment)

    • Program focus is to create a good horse citizen. Meaning the horse should be a safe, comfortable, and dependable pleasure mount first and foremost. After that has been accomplished then work begins on "polishing" with training for beginning dressage, western pleasure, jumping, or cross country/eventing.
    • Price includes twice daily feeding, grain if warranted, daily turn-out in 2 acre pasture, and 5 days of training per week.
    • With 3 month commitment a once per week owner/horse training is available in the 3rd month. This allows me to not only "train" the horse but to teach the owner how to maintain and continue along the positive path being estiblished.

see philosophy for more information on training program.
